The Swedish Federation of Small Businesses

We handle important issues concerning small business owners.

The Swedish Federation of Small Businesses is a politically independent association of small businesses focusing on companies with fewer than ten employees. And these smallest enterprises are many - they constitute 96 percent of all the registered companies in Sweden. The association is led by active entrepreneurs and has 30,000 members across the country. Our members follow the same laws and rules as large companies, such as Ikea and Hennes & Mauritz - we think this is unfair. We work for better conditions for small businesses and entrepreneurs. We want it to be more attractive to start a business, easier to run a business and more profitable and less risky to hire personnel.

We are involved in issues concerning small business by:

• Writing opinion articles and comments on the current economic policy situation.
• Discussing relevant issues with authorities and politicians.
• Organising seminars and panel discussions.
• Responding to referrals.
• Cooperating with other organisations on common issues.
