1951 - The Swedish Business Owners Association, (Svenska Företagares Riksförbund – SFR), is formed by merging the Swedish Small Businesses Interest Association, the Swedish Small Businesses' Association, the Swedish Business Owners Association, the Gothenburg Business Owners Association and the Traders Association.
1991 - Federation of Private Enterprises, FR, is formed through the merger of the Swedish Business Owners Association, SFR and National Small Business' Association. Some members and organisations choose to remain outside the merger and continue to operate outside the new FR.
1991 - Entrepreneur Association Forum, (Företagareförbundet Företagarforum – FF), formed by the SFR members who choose to remain outside the merger. Associations are formed in Skåne and Stockholm which continue former activities.
1997 - The associations in Stockholm and Skåne merge with Entrepreneur Association Forum, FF. Through this merger nationwide policy is effected.
2002 - The name of the organization is changed to The Swedish Federation of Small Businesses (FöretagarFörbundet, FF).
2006 - Establishment of offices in central Stockholm covering national politics and the media. Camilla Littorin becomes The Swedish Federation of Small Businesses first General Secretary.
